The intended impact of the website is to increase participants’ knowledge, interest, and awareness of materials science and science generally, as well as their perceptions of the relevance of both to their daily lives. This will, in turn, encourage participants to engage in more science activities at home and increase their self-efficacy as it relates to materials science and science generally. Specific website elements along with the desired outcomes of the project are articulated in the logic model below.
Project evaluation will be conducted by the Research & Evaluation department at The Franklin Institute. Specific evaluation questions, the data sources and analysis methods that will be used to answer them, and the intended use of the evaluation findings are listed in the table below.
